Jay Scott MacDougall

MACDOUGALL, JAY SCOTT: Our beloved Jay passed away on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 at the University of Alberta hospital after suffering a stroke on May 14. Jay is survived by his parents, George and Edna MacDougall, his children Scott, Craig, and Lauren MacDougall, their mom Jean, his sister Lesley, and his sister-in-law (the “other sister”) Lesley. Ever since he was a curly-haired little guy, Jay has had an ability to resonate with people’s souls; his big heart has always been obvious, if one took the time to peek beneath the prickly exterior. It comes as no surprise then, that he will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many other family and friends. Jay’s humour, support, compassion, and friendship made the world brighter. Jay’s loved ones are heartbroken but grateful for the countless ways he enriched our lives every day.
